Today I have the privilege of celebrating Father's Day with K. and E. K. has taught me much about what a good father is, and I love watching him interact with E. It warms my heart and makes my feet feel all fuzzy.
The two men in my life look a lot alike. They are both gregarious, funny, and sweet. They both are enjoying life and sucking out the goodness. They both like to tickle, and both hate their toes to be touched. They both have funny big toes, and tiny ears. (Freakishly tiny, really.)
I'm grateful to have them both. So, so very grateful. E. was impossible without K., both in theory and in practice. And so, K., the love of my life, gave me a huge gift, a new role, and a enormous responsibility. And then he showed me how to share the responsibility, and how that enormous responsibility would draw us even closer and enrich our lives even more.
Today especially, I am fortunate. And blessed.
Lovely tribute. Great pictures, too!
