I have spent the past 3 weeks telling myself that the list of things to buy and to do was quite short. It was quite short. Unfortunately every time I crossed one thing off there was another to take its place. Including today. When I ran around like a maniac for the whole day. Again.
I am beat. I didn't think I would be this beat. I didn't think I would be this busy. I didn't think there were 327 little niggly things that needed to be done.
We are packing tomorrow. We must pack, because there must be an end to the insanity. Packing will effectively put an end to the purchasing, which will put an end to the running around, which will put an end to the freakouts. Or something like that.
I'm glad that I've got all of you to be excited with me about this trip because there are times when I forget to be excited. Although now that it's 3 days away excited doesn't begin to describe it.
Ok, I've got a few more tweaks to the travel blog (which is going to be a bit rough I must admit but that is the way things are going right now--corners are being cut, plans jettisoned, bait cut, all while I added 10 new things that needed to be purchased today. Do I seem like I am going around in circles? HA! It's ovals.) scheduled for tonight and then I will crash. No sleeping issues here, not yet.
Travel blog is coming. Name is coming. Entries about actual topics coming.
Tomorrow is Groundhog Day. I'm giving you that for free. It's topical and relevant. I'm hoping for spring, but guessing winter.

Posted by: Debbie in the UK at February 2, 2008 12:01 PMSoon, soon, soon. Get it all in a suitcase and be done. Remember, there are places to buy things in China. If you forget it you are likely to be able to buy it or an approximation. Now I know you may have some specialty items...keep obsessing about them but dump (I mean fold nicely to allow maximum capacity)everything else in the bag.
