Still wrapping

Lesson 6: Final Lesson

The assignment was to shoot something you wouldn't normally shoot, to move out of your comfort zone, to try something new.

This shot is unusual for me. I had to stand on the stroller to get the angle looking down. But more strange for me is the other angle. I am such a linear thinker. I love right angles. I want everything as square to the camera as possible. This does not always make for interesting photos. I have to fight the impulse all of the time. Fight the impulse!

I took this shot after sundown without a tripod. Goodness look at me trying new things! I do not love this shot, but K. likes it a lot. He says it is interesting. I say that something, anything, needs to be in focus. Also, I think the colors are too soft for me. (I hate the pink/purple background.) Well, it's all too soft for me. But I submitted it because it is interesting and because it isn't perfect and because it is something I wouldn't normally shoot. My Z. She is walking. Mostly away from me. As quickly as she can. Giggling all the while.
